Level replacement
-----------------
This level replaces the final NOD levels.
Mission Description
-------------------
Nod Recon troops stumbled across a secret GDI airbase, several raids have
failed and now we are sending a more permanent force into this region. Intel
suggests that GDI will not give this base away easily, remove the GDI scum's
presence completely.
Level Description
-----------------
Take out all units and structures, you will be given 2 light tanks,a stealth
tank and an MCV. Watch out for the choppers. :-)
Usage
-----
For those who don't want to bother messing around editing files, a savegame
has been supplied that was taken the instant the level started. Simply copy
this file (savegame.001) into your Command and Conquer directory (rename it
if you don't want to lose one of your savegames). Then simply load that file
when you start. You will not be able to restart the mission if you do this,
you will have to re-load it if you need to try again. If you choose this
method, you can ignore the next part.
If you want something more complete, you need to have the NOD version of
the general.mix file on your hard drive. You also need the program
map-p.exe (available in the distribution of cc-scen; you can get this
distribution from http://adam.com.au/~buggy amongst other places).
Put the files scb13eb.ini and mission.ini into your Command and Conquer
directory. Now you need to patch the general.mix file with the hell.map.
Depending on which version of map-p you have, you can do this in two ways.
The latest release allows you to simply type in an offset in the command
line. You can patch the file with the commands:
map-p general.mix hell.map 2904391 (scb13eb)
If you have the older version of map-p, use the command
map-p general.mix hell.map
and when asked for the offset, type is 0x2c5147 and press Enter.
You will now be able to use this scenario properly when you play mission B of
the last NOD mission.
If you are just using the savegame method and aren't patching the
general.mix file, do not put the scb13eb.ini file into your Command and
Conquer directory. It may cause Command and Conquer to crash when you play
the Last NOD mission.
Other Information
-----------------
If you find any problems with the level please tell me and remember I am still
learning. Warning this level scenario works on only one of the last NOD level
(there are three different ones). However to play it on any of the last three
levels you will have to find the other two map hex addresses and patch
hell.map into the NOD general.mix file. You will also have to copy scb13eb.ini
to the files scb13ea.ini and scb13ec.ini and put them into your C&C directory
as well.
Enjoy.
